"...Princess Fiona...played by the accomplished Elizabeth Telford, last seen as Maria in Milwaukee's Skylight Music Theatre's Sound of Music. Her youthful exuberance attracts the sanguine Shrek while she waited 8,423 days for her prince to deliver true love's first kiss."

"Thankfully, Maria is back in town. Returning to Milwaukee after her star turn as the singing nun in last year's unforgettable Skylight Music Theatre production of "The Sound of Music," Elizabeth Telford once again plays a young woman trying and failing to squeeze her seemingly boundless joy into a cramped and cloistered existence.
It didn't work for Maria, and it's clear from the first time we see Telford that it also won't work for her Fiona.
Appearing Friday night...Telford served notice: Even a dragon...can't keep this princess down.
...Telford's Fiona sings and acts with heart even when she ostensibly plays by the prescribed rules, giving this musical a warmth it sorely needs.
...Lightly coated in green and even more beautiful as a result, it is Telford's Fiona...who movingly drives this point home."
"Telford, who was a dazzling Maria in Skylight’s "Sound of Music" last year, is no less magical in "Shrek."
She has absolute command of the stage and has a kind of comic genius that reminded me of a combination of Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball. But she’s certainly not just all laughs. She shows us her sorrows and her shames, as well as her delights.
When she sings "Morning Person," about the joys of the new day, chills run through your body as she carries you along on a warm-hearted ride. She is an absolutely amazing actor and singer."
